The day after (TF1, 9:10 p.m.)

According to the synopsis offered by the Rotten Tomatoes site:
After climate scientist Jack Hall is largely ignored by UN officials when he presents his environmental concerns, his research proves correct when a superstorm occurs, triggering natural disasters around the world. Jack and his team must set out on foot from Philadelphia, braving the elements, to reach his son Sam, trapped in New York with his friend Laura and others, before it is too late.
This thriller turns out to be extremely effective. It also benefits from its excellent cast: Dennis Quaid, Jake Gyllenhaal, Sela Ward, Ian Holm, and Emmy Rossum.
The three brothers (TFX, 9:05 p.m.)
Three men discover by pure chance that they are half-brothers and they inherit 3 million at the same time. The celebrations unfortunately did not last. In fact, barely ten days later, the money was embezzled. This is the start of trouble for these three protagonists (to the delight of the spectators).
You have to see this nugget which brings together the trio of Unknowns at the top of their form.
The Count of Monte Cristo (Canal+, 9:10 p.m.)
According to the official Pathé synopsis:
Victim of a conspiracy, young Edmond Dantès is arrested on his wedding day for a crime he did not commit. After fourteen years of detention at the Château d’If, he managed to escape. Having become immensely rich, he returns under the identity of the Count of Monte Cristo to take revenge on the three men who betrayed him.
Canal+ is showing this very good adaptation for the first time, released in 2024. We are asking for more as this gem pays a very beautiful tribute to the work of Alexandre Dumas.
That’s all for this week. Note, if these three films are not to your taste, that there will be other feature films this Sunday evening on TNT, and in particular Rebels (France 2, 9:10 p.m.), Basic Instinct (Arte, 9 p.m.), and The truth if I lie! (W9, 9:10 p.m.). You can also catch up on last week’s nuggets in replay by rereading our previous article here.
