And soon, we could also count on OpeneurollM technologies, a European consortium formed by 20 organizations that develops open source language models in order to support the competitiveness of Europe.
Among the partners of this project, there is the French company Lighton, the Laboratory of German Aleph Alpha Research, as well as universities, research centers, and Eurohpc centers (European High-Performance Computing). Openeurollm is also supported by the European Commission.
“What is unique in this initiative is that we bring together many European European organizations in the field of AI in a single targeted effort, instead of having many small fragmented projects”explains Peter Sarlin, co-leader of the Alliance, quoted by The Next Web. According to this media, OpeneurollM benefits from a budget of 52 million euros, as well as support in the form of computer calculation power.
A European AI
