
It may have escaped you, but it was last night that the 6th Pegasus ceremony took place, these annual French awards that distinguish a selection of French video games and personalities from the video game industry. Like the Game Awards, the Pegasus are responsible for electing a “every yearGame of the year“, And in 2024, Chants of Sennar had won the precious sesame. The ceremony also distributes other titles, which reward the “French Touch”Through various categories. Back on this 2025 edition.
“French” video games
For this 2025 edition, the Cigale Salle hosted the ceremony, which, through the presenter Salomé Lagresle, came to reward the various titles “Made in France”Launched last year. And a few days now at the launch of the highly anticipated Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the French publisher Ubisoft has full of good waves and statuettes, thanks to a certain Prince of Persia.

Indeed, launched at the beginning of last year, the very successful Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown gleaned no less than 4 prizes, including that of the “Game of the year“. As such, at least prestigious are added three victories in other categories, namely best sound universe, best design game and accessibility prices. A great success for the game, whose team was however dismantled a few months after its launch.
As in previous editions, more than 3000 professionals and members of the Academy of Arts and Techniques of the Video Games appointed the nominees during a two-round vote, each category welcoming a total of 3 nominees for the final designation. For the record, Ubisoft’s game was crowned “Best Video Game” against Beast Organic Exo Arena Suit Team and Ravenswatch.

- Best first video game: Caravan Sandwitch (plug in digital)
The ceremony has notably highlighted the visual excellence of the ants, adapted from Bernard Werber’s book (and incidentally one of the first games to have been stamped “improved for PS5 pro”), to the detriment of another particularly flattering title for the retina, namely Flight Simulator 2024, developed by the French of Asobo Studio, which however leaves with the title of “Best Technological Innovation”.

Note that in the “Best Foreign Video Game” category, the Space Marine 2 game has managed to outperform the Ogre Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. As for independent foreign independent video games, Neva came to win the precious trophy, on the nose and beard of the excellent the valiant little page and Manor Lords.
