And unfortunately, it is possible that the launch of this SIRI update was postponed.
IOS 18.5 Instead of iOS 18.4?
Apple is currently preparing the iOS 18.4 update, which should arrive in April. And everything led to believe that this update would launch the new version of Siri, on iPhone models compatible with Apple Intelligence. But recently, journalist Mark Gurman (Bloomberg) said that the development of this new Siri would be delayed by engineering problems and bugs. As a result, the journalist explains that the release of this major novelty could be either limited or postponed. More specifically, Apple would now plan to release the new version of Siri with the iOS 18.5 update in May, instead of offering it with the iOS 18.4 update of April.
As a reminder, the new Siri must act as a kind of AI agent, capable of carrying out certain actions in place of the user. Here is how Apple described this novelty in December: “Even more efficient, Siri will be able to base himself on the personal context of a user to offer him a tailor -made intelligence. Siri will also have the ability to understand information on the screen and carry out hundreds of new actions both in Apple apps and in third -party apps. ”
The French version of Apple Intelligence is already in development
Currently, the deployment of Apple Intelligence on iPhone and iPad is still blocked in the European Union. But Apple has already indicated that it is working on European deployment of its new features based on artificial intelligence.
On the other hand, for the moment, Apple Intelligence is still only available in English. But the firm has already indicated that it is working on the management of other languages, including French.
