Samsung puts a lot on Galaxy Ai, a set of artificial intelligence features, to promote its smartphones. And Apple gradually deploys its Apple Intelligence features on compatible models.
As for OPPO, it has just unveiled a new strategy that is very focused on AI for smartphones, during the mobile World Congress. And the manufacturer’s flagship announcement is that now, it will deploy, on average, an update linked to AI per month for its users.
Oppo will continue to work with Google
Oppo does not indicate which devices will be affected by these monthly updates. But we know that like Samsung, Oppo will rely on its partnership with Google to develop these IA features. “Oppo continues to integrate Google AI experiences on its smartphones, and Google Gemini will soon be able to act on the native Oppo applications, such as notes, calendar and clock”indicates the Chinese manufacturer.
In addition, if some Oppo models already integrate the models of GEMINI 1.5 Pro and Gemin 1.5 Flash, it works with Google to offer the Gemini 2.0 model on Oppo smartphones. On the other hand, to strengthen the confidentiality of the information processed by AI, Oppo will set up a “private computing cloud” which will be based on Google Cloud technologies. On the other hand, Oppo will collaborate with Mediatek, the manufacturer of smartphones chips, in order to optimize these chips for its IA features.
Oppo will bet on AI to boost its sales
In any case, Oppo considerably hopes to increase its sales thanks to artificial intelligence. According to the brand, it exceeded 50 million users in 2024. And it hopes to double this number by the end of the year.
Otherwise, it is recalled that today, Oppo is one of the most innovative brands in the folding smartphones segment. Recently, he presented Oppo Find N5a folding smartphone that is only 4.21 mm thick when open.
