And the first pair of wireless headphones taking advantage of this technology was recently unveiled by Xiaomi, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The advantages of WiFi
More precisely, Xiaomi offers Buds 5 Pro which only use Bluetooth, as well as the 5 Pro Wi-Fi Buds which also support the transmission of audio via WiFi. This ability to use WiFi is a small revolution, on the wireless headphones: In addition to allowing a stable connection compared to Bluetooth (when WiFi transmission is activated), WiFi headphones will also be able to provide superior audio quality.

Xiaomi markets Buds 5 Pro at 199.99 euros, while Buds 5 PRO with WiFi support are sold at 219.99 euros.
You will have to use a compatible smartphone
To take advantage of the advantages of these WiFi wireless headphones, you will have to use a compatible smartphone (otherwise, headphones only use Bluetooth technology). And for the moment, the WiFi function is only available when the headphones are connected to the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
