In his latest newsletter, journalist Mark Gurman (Bloomberg) corroborates rumors indicating that the folding iPhone would be planned for 2026. According to this, Apple is already focused on the finalization of this foldable iPhone. Recently, the Korean site and News also suggested that Apple would have found a solution to the traces of folds which could have slowed down the development of its folding iPhone.
But that’s not all, since the firm would have another surprise for 2026. Indeed, Gurman evokes a “other design” of iPhone which would be planned for next year. Unfortunately, the journalist says no more. However, this suggests that after the release of the iPhone 17 Air, this year, Apple should offer new innovations in the design of smartphones.
Did Tim Cook drop a clue?
In a previous newsletter, Gurman also mentioned an internal note from an Apple official who would have mentioned the “most ambitious” roadmap in the history of the iPhone. But, as usual, this information is to be considered with caution, since it does not come from an official source.
In any case, Apple should offer more design innovations to remain competitive, even if its features based on artificial intelligence should boost sales in 2025. And obviously, the firm has already understood, according to recent rumors.
