After roller skating, here is the all-terrain electric skateboard made in France

There are quite a few French innovations at the CES in Las Vegas. Recently, for example, we published an article on electric rollerblading, developed by the French company AtmosGear. But, if you prefer skateboards, another French company, Sternboard, has thought of you. Also present at CES, it has in fact developed an extremely powerful and all-terrain electric skateboard, which is designed and manufactured in France.

Thanks to its robust design and extremely powerful motor, the Sternboard is suitable for almost all terrains. This can even be used on snow, since there is a version with a chain and two skis. The battery that powers the electric skateboard is in a backpack that the user will have to carry (yes, there will still be room for belongings).

An electric skateboard capable of towing a trailer

According to the Sternboard website, the electric skateboard is waterproof and its autonomy is 100 km. Regarding the legislation, the company explains: “The Sternboard is likened to an EDPM (Motorized Personal Travel Vehicle). The legislation is the same as for electric scooters.” As a result, the product is sold limited to 25 km/h.

Sternboard offers two versions of its electric skateboard. The 2,000 W version is made for people with a large body size (over 100 kg), those who live in the mountains, those who plan to use the trailer or those who want to use the snow version. Furthermore, the 2000 W version will be better suited to thrill-seekers. Otherwise, Sternboard offers a less powerful 1000W version that will suit most people.

As we mention in the video above, the Sternboard is sold for around 3,000 euros.
