Masterpiece: Moonflower Murders – Plot
For those who don’t know, The Moonflower Murders is the second installment of Anthony Horowitz’s famous Susan Ryland/Atticus Pund series. The story picks up where The Magpie Murders left off.
Main Course: The Moonflower Murders is the story of Susan Ryland, formerly a writer and now a detective. She lives with her boyfriend Andreas in Crete and leads a happy life. She gets embroiled in a murder case that happened eight years ago, which shatters her happy life.
The murder took place in a British country hotel. The incident inspired Susan’s former friend, author Alan Conway. The novel convinced Cecily Treherne that the wrong person was imprisoned for the crime. However, Cecily mysteriously disappears, and Susan has to find her using clues hidden in Conway’s book.
